Also yes Firefly sees all of my media because under the server status page it says how many songs I have. I tried restarting the server and re-scanning and it shows the same number of songs after scan completes. Ensure you have a reliable connection between the computer you use to do the upgrade and the NAS.
Do not use a wireless connection for the firmware upgrade. You can find the model name on the device usually on a sticker underneath or on the rear of the device or by logging into your NAS. For more information, see Verify the model name and firmware version of your NAS. Download the correct firmware version for your device. For more information, see Download the firmware. To prevent accidental data loss, back up your NAS, including both the system settings and your important data, before updating the firmware.
For more information, refer to Save and restore your NAS's settings. Do not interrupt or unplug the NAS during the update process. Live update Live Update can automatically check for, and download the latest firmware suitable for your NAS.
Enabling this option will notify you of a new firmware release when you log into the NAS. You will have to restart the system for the new firmware to take effect. Select "Firmware", and find the desired firmware version. The release notes will contain specific instructions that may apply.
