Self update tree is not working

An Update to the last post. I have the following error when testing the connection to the SelfUpdate Directory: The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access.

Make sure that the application pool identity has Read access to the physical path. Then test these settings again. Even after adding the Network Service and the IUSR accounts witrh read access on the physical directory, the issue persists. Perhaps this is a transient condition in some cases?

To resolve issues where the SelfUpdate virtual directory does not have anonymous access permissions, open IIS Manager, expand the default Web site, right-click the SelfUpdate virtual directory, and then click Properties.

On the Directory Security tab, click edit under Authentication and access control. Make sure that anonymous access is enabled. This step should be performed for the default Web site as well. The workaround is either to set your IIS configuration to respond to "All unassigned" addresses or to add Use Internet Information Services IIS Management console to verify that the server is set up with one of the following two configurations.
